"I have been seeing Tommy on a regular basis for over a year now. I cannot express how much good he has done for me. The massages are fantastic, and I am never let down. They vary from session to session as my tension seems to migrate to different areas of my body. Initially, I had injured my back while weight lifting, which caused me to lose functionality in my legs.
I sought help from various specialists including chiropractors, acupuncturists, physical therapists, nerve specialists, and numerous doctors. Unfortunately, no one seemed to be able to help me or pinpoint exactly what I had done to myself beyond acknowledging the severity of my condition. A friend recommended Tommy, and given that I had nothing to lose, I decided to give him a try.
When I met Tommy, I recounted my ordeal to him. He admitted that he wasn't sure if he could help me but mentioned that he had taken classes in cranial sacral therapy at the Upledger Institute in West Palm Beach, FL. Unlike a regular massage, this therapy focuses on the different levels of fascia and the spinal column, specifically dealing with restrictions in the spinal cord tube that interrupt the flow of spinal fluid. It also addresses the compression of the disks and surrounding tissues.
Tommy felt that I had pinched a nerve in the lumbar region of my back. He worked on my back while I lay face up on an air mattress on his table and performed a series of very subtle stretches and traction across my entire spinal column. He worked on me for over two hours. By the end of the session, I was in much less pain, although I still needed to use my crutches.
The next day, I was astonished. I could get out of bed without any problems and was able to take baby steps without crutches for the first time in months. I continued to see Tommy every three days for three weeks, experiencing significant improvements with each session. His expertise and dedication have truly transformed my life, and I am grateful for the incredible relief he has provided me."

"It was a seemingly ordinary day when the unexpected happened. I had just started my motorcycle, feeling the familiar rush of excitement and freedom that always accompanies a ride. Little did I know, this ride would take a turn for the worse. An unforeseen obstacle on the road led to a minor accident, leaving me with an injured left hamstring. At the time, I thought it was just a simple muscle strain that would heal with a bit of rest.
Days went by, and the pain persisted, stubbornly clinging to my hamstring. It was then that a friend, concerned by my discomfort, suggested I seek the help of a professional masseur. The idea seemed simple enough: have someone knead the injury and hopefully relieve the pain. Little did I know that this suggestion would lead me on a path of discovery about the true nature of my injury.
Upon arriving at Tom's studio, I could hardly walk. Each step was accompanied by a sharp, burning pain that radiated through my leg. I was skeptical yet desperate for relief. Tom greeted me with a calm demeanor, his studio a sanctuary of tranquility amidst my turmoil. I explained my predicament, detailing the accident and the persistent pain in my hamstring. Tom listened intently, his experience evident in the way he assessed my condition.
Tom began his work, his hands methodically kneading the tight muscles of my hamstring. The initial pressure was intense, but as he continued, I felt the tension begin to dissipate. It was then that Tom made a revelation that would change the course of my recovery. 'The problem isn't just in your hamstring,' he said, 'it's originating from your hip and groin.'
His words resonated with a new layer of understanding. The motorcycle accident had caused a misalignment and strain in my hip and groin, which in turn manifested pain in my hamstring. It was a classic case of referred pain, where the true source of discomfort was masked by another area of the body. Tom adjusted his technique, focusing on the root of the problem rather than just the symptom.

"I've had four visits now with Tommy and this last visit demands a review. From my first appointment with Tommy his massage stood head and shoulders above anything I've ever had. Tommy puts so much energy and warmth into his work it's almost a little overwhelming. He is very responsive to what his clients ask for and intuitive in his approach.Last visit I received the now expected incredible massage from Tommy, but with an unexpected and delightful new addition, cranial sacral work to his repertoire of skills. I'm not very familiar with the technique, but I can say that experiencing it with Tommy blew me away. What was physically an extremely gentle, almost feather touch to various areas of my face and head manifested itself internally as an extremely pleasurable, intense, yet extraordinarily relaxing feeling, almost as if a small amount of electricity was flowing through his fingers. "A friend of mine called me from Fort Lauderdale the week after hurricane Katrina blew through Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he was very upset as the massage therapist he had found in Lauderdale had left prior to the hurricane and was in the neck of the woods. He told me if I wanted the best massage of my life, I should contact Tommy while he is up here in Delaware, or I will miss one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. He said he has never gotten a massage like the one Tommy gave him and hates to even think about having to use another therapist. He told me that he had already booked a session the day after Tommy returns to Lauderdale. Well after a build up like that my curiosity was peaked. My friend has made a living of getting massages, so I had to really check this guy out. I called Tommy and he worked with me to arrange a time that was able to fit into my packed schedule. He was very accommodating and friendly. He gave me great directions to his studio which is on the bottom floor of his house with its own door. I was running a little late and gave Tommy a call to let him know I was caught in traffic. He assured me not to worry. When I arrived, he and his guide dog Dakota met me out in the front yard and Tommy gave the command find the studio and off we went to the studio door. Once inside Tommy unharnessed Dakota gave him a biscuit and said 'go upstairs now'.
Off he went after giving me the up and down look and deciding I was ok, I guess. Tommy explained that we would not be using a bottom sheet as the lomi lomi techniques require a lot of oil and he uses the body as a weight and said I would understand when the massage was in progress. I undressed and got on the table as he started the music and got his oils ready. Tommy applied oil all over my body with his strong hands and I knew that I was due for an experience as just the way he applied the oil felt assured, relaxed and just gave me a feeling of being safe and secure. I usually don't relax that quickly, but he has a way about himself that just puts you in a mindset of being in a safe, trusting, secure place. He started with my left leg and from that moment on I was in heaven. He worked up the left side of my body to the head and shoulders and down the other side. The strokes were firm, yet soft and so relaxing. I cannot write all the strokes he used as I was so relaxed it was as if I was floating.
The way he works the back, neck and shoulders, and my god the way he works the lower back, glutes, and ham strings! No one ever was that thorough and no one has ever made me feel so good. He worked on me for over an hour and had me turn over so he could work on the front. I could barely move I was so relaxed and in la la land. The back stretches he uses are unreal and there is no way he could have done them if a bottom sheet were used. It was the most unbelievable experience I have ever had. After the massage was over, he took a towel and wiped off the oil from my body and that was a ritual in and of itself. When I sat up on the table so he could wipe off my back I was so relaxed I did not want to leave. After wiping off my back Tommy gave me a hug from behind and I just leaned back and melted into it. What a way to end the most fantastic massage I have ever had. Now I know why my friend was so upset! Tommy offered me a large glass of water and use of the bathroom. When I was dressed and ready to leave again Tommy gave me a hug which I took with me the entire day. I am making plans to visit my friend in Lauderdale this fall and winter as there is no way I can wait till December when he is up here again for a week. Anyone who wants an awesome massage needs to experience Tommy. He will spoil you and I will never be able to be satisfied with the therapists I have used in the past.
